Carbon Eyes er første single fra bandet This Is You. Sangen handler om desperation, isolation og det at være fanget i en kæde af destruktive tanker, hvor elementer af håb og optimisme bryder det dystre udtryk. Titlen Carbon Eyes blander det syntetiske og beskidte med noget organisk og smukt. Metallet Carbon - eller kulstof - er sort og støvet, men kan under pres blive til den smukkeste diamant.

Carbon Eyes is the first single from Danish band This Is You. The song is about desperation, isolation and about being caught in a chain of destructive thoughts, where elements of hope and optimism break the dark expression. The title Carbon Eyes entwines the synthetic and dirty with something organic and beatiful. Carbon, the element, is black and dusty, but will turn into a diamond if put under pressure.
